Amiens whose cathedral looks so insignificant from a distance but is so beautiful at close range and fortunately so little damaged.
We have been having thunderstorms with heavy downpours of rain & now it is raining again.
In the Amiens push the weather for the first time was absolutely with us. Now it is against us but as the ground was dry before & the showers are intermittent it is not so bad.
I am afraid that Nell's foot requires skilled attention. I am trying to persuade her to take every measure to prevent it developing into an infirmity.
Now I must get along to some work as the last news we have is that we do not move tonight.
