When it was formed "A" & "B" Coy 88th was gathered together as No.16 [Platoon?] and it is. Charlie Hemeyer and I still sleep side by side, which I tell him, is very nice for me. I like him immensely though I have been so much out with friends lately we seem to have missed each other outside barrack but I guess as soon as we leave here we will be a good deal more of each other. He is solid and reliable and I'm sorry they haven't given him a stripe but there is only me lance jack in the platoon after nearly eight weeks.
