However Vera and I are toffing good pals and have both sufficient sense of humour to weather the occasional squalls of dissension that arise. I think quite like her for she’s a really good soul and makes friends with both sexes impartially. I’m sorry to hear Adele’s [?] has not been an unqualified success for I am very fond of both of them and should like to see them happy. I haven’t heard from either of them...
