and rock from the side of the wall where Mah Ling was
working and it fell upon him hitting him on his back and
knocked him down when Iwent to get help and got
three men we picked him up and put him on a car

I am a miner Iwork for the Canadian Colleries

reccolect the 24 Hany 1919 I am one of the 
Three men that Mah Wong came for he said
Iwant help there is a man hurt I at once
went to where the man was hurt found him
lying on the floor of the stall and we got a car
and put him in it. he was alive and I asked 
him what his name was he replied Mah Ling
Ialso asked where he was hurt and pponted 
to his back, say up here I knew him as Mah
Lind and I identify him as Mah Ling we took 
him up the ( ) on the car ( ) ahead and
phoned for the ambulance

Mah Ling was working under me Ihad been
in his stall 15 minutes before the accident
no Idid not examine the place that the fall
came from then but I had previously done so
and Ifound it all right Yes I go round
always before the men start work and 
make an examination I concluded that
everything was all right and safe for men
towork in It was about 5 or 10 minutes ( ) 10 P.M.
